Trip to Bsharre

Event description& program :
– 7:30am: Departure from AUB – Charles Hostler gate
– 9:30-10:00: Breakfast at a local Saj in Hadath el Jebbe
– 10:00-11:30: Visiting Hadath el Jebbe’s Natural Reserve, and planting a Cedar tree in the name of LGBC
– 12:00-1:00: Visiting the Gibran Khalil Gibran museum in Bsharre
– 1:00-3:00: Hiking in the holy valley of Qannoubine; we will start our medium-level trail from the top of Mar Lichaa and going down the valley, where we will be visiting one of the monks on our way to St. Marina convent
– 3:00-4:30: Lunch at ‘Al-Zaytouni Restaurant’ in Qannoubine (lebanese meza & mashewe)
– 8:00pm: Arrival to AUB
Recommendations :
– Clothing: Comfortable Shirt / Pants, Warm jacket, Hat / cap, Hiking Boots
– Water: at least 1 liter/person
– Other Gear: Backpack, Personal first aid kit, Camera, sunglasses, sunscreen

For the transportation, kindly note that members who wish to use their own cars are free to do so. Members who live in Zalka-Jounieh-Jbeil-Chekka-Koura can also join us on the road.
