On Thursday October 21, 2021, a coordination meeting was held between group of #LGBC Administrative Council members and Nakib of The Order of Engineers and Architects (OEA) in Tripoli Eng. Bahaa Hareb at OEA Premises.
The meeting included Pierre Dammous- LGBC President, Rima Sorour– LGBC Vice President, Nada Tfaily and Afif Nassim- LGBC board members from Lebanon GBC side.
Wael Debs- OEA Vice Nakib and Head of the Architects Branch, Safwan Chahhal, Khodr Hussien, Zakariya Akl, and Rima Mansour OEA members of the council attended from OEA Tripoli side.
During the meeting, different topics about sustainable and green architecture were discussed and the internal legislation and laws of OEA, where several proposals were made aimed at developing modern legislations and codes to reduce the negative impact on the environment and the community through the use of environmentally friendly materials.
The meeting was interspersed with the presentation of Architect. Rima Sorour book “Rainwater Harvesting Systems – National Guideline” to Nakib Hareb.
At the end of the meeting, all agreed to set plans for future communication and coordination between the two parties to reach the desired sustainable and environmental goals.
